Most high-performance auto stores should carry them for use with Nitrious systems.  A regular hardware or general autoparts store wont have them.  You have to go to a shop that does heavy customization (ground affects, NOS, etc).  If all else fails, go to the source.  These switches were originally designed for use on aircraft.  Go to your local airport (small field, not commercial) and talk to a mechanic.  They are usually willing to part with a few of them for little to no cost.  They might even be able to order some for you.

Did a quick search and found this. https://www.quickcar.net/ign_panels/parts.html

The guard is 12.95 and the switch is another 14.95.  $30 wasn't that far off.

You can go to radio shack and get a switch for a couple of bucks.

I am an aircraft mechanic and I have access to the guards.  Let me know how to get in touch with you and I'll hook you up with a guard.

I seen them when I posted above, because at that time they were getting heavy on APC equipment and access.

I n the store in my area they were located in the isle with all of the other switches and flashers.  My store only had one left and it had a red cover on it.  Like I said it was 9.95.  I had just read your post the day before going there so it kinda caught my eye.  I looked online at their web site but they don't show it.  You may want to ask there employees (I say with a snicker).  They may be able to tell you more.

I also found this:

"Flip-Up Aircraft Switch Cover"  Summit Racing, 1-800-230-3030, Part Number: SUM-G3902C, for $9.69 plus shipping.

You may want to call them.
