Hi i am installing a "starmate" from sirius, i have it installed in another vehicle and it is hooked up direct via audio in/out plugs with rca plugs on the back of my sony.

My question is i am hooking it up to another vehicle that has a deh245 pioneer and the 2 plugs on the back say "pre-out" will that work to plug my sirius audio plug to?

I just do not want to fry anything so i thought i would ask before i plugged it in

THANKS

David

No, those are audio outs on the unit, not inputs.  If your deck has a changer plug on the back, there may be an adapter available to use that as an audio input.  You can use an fm modulator if your unit does not have any auxiliary inputs, but will have some signal degradation (it'll sound like a strong fm broadcast).  Otherwise, upgrade the deck to one that has an aux in.
