I have air suspension in my car there is 8 solonoid controled valves,  controled from a switch box that has 1 power feeding all the switches (1 switch per valve). Whenever I hit a switch I get a pop through the speakers in my car. I believe it is caused by a voltage spike. Will a diode fix this? if so how do I wire the diode?  Thanks for the help

Suppression diodes may work.  You want to place a diode across each of the coils, only backwards.  Whichever side of the coils recieves 12 volts, that's the side that you connect the stripe side (cathode) of the diode.
