Should be in the shop the first week of September if all goes well. I have a nice home for it and the hoist it takes to hold this beast. Should make for some good gossip here on the island.

I've had the line for over a year now Jeff, I order it as I need it. I can see it now, customer with the Commander is going to walk in, see this beast and then make us change the box so he can use it instead.....bets anyone?

PMR didn't get the first one... they were actually the third to get it. And their 132 db was rather disappointing. A friend of mine hits 143.8 running on two 10" at 500 watts each. The first one was to a private shop, the second was installed in a show car that got featured in CAE magazine, then PMR got to it.

And now I have it. It is a beast. Correct me if I am wrong here, but was the sub on PMR done infinite baffle? No wonder it had not much output. This thing is capable of soooo much more....And my worst fears came to life. The customer in the Commander with a now almost completed box is thinking that it would be a better fit to his vehicle, see you later Focal 18's?

ROFL! Yeah the sub is pretty nasty (350 lbs for those who don't know about this 22" beast) and PMR used the trunk as the enclosure and it is sealed fairly well, but the poor car just isn't stiff enough to support it well.

As for your customer, we praying for you.

Good Luck!

I was at my local shop last month and a guy was having a jackhammer put in his escalade EXT.  He already had three Solo X 18's powered by 6 Kicker Zr1000's and wanted the jackhammer also.  So he has it in his trunk bed being powered by four Crossfire 4000's (4000 watts rms each).  So i asked the installer how this would sound... He said like crap but the guy wanted it to show off.  That's 22,000 watts of power in an escalade.  I asked him how much the customer paid for the labor....$2,500 and the box was nowhere complete.  Oh and supposedly they were going to fiberglass the entire thing.   Don't know how much mat you would need but im guessing a whole lot.  Even though it was impractical, it was still the most amazing system i have ever seen in person.

the sub in general is very impractical. When you look at what needs to be purchase along with the sub just to power the thing. The only thing it is good for is showing off.
