I installed a window module on a 92 GMC pick up and am getting bad results.  The drivers window works like a champ. Rolls all the way up every time. The passenger window is a different story. If it is all the way down. The unit doesnt even attempt to roll up the window. If the window is midway down, you get a little better results, but sometimes it stops about 2 in short. I have cleaned out the window tracks, and sprayed everything i can get to with WD-40. I have even tried splicing in a different location. I started at the drivers door, and moved the splice into the passenger window, but it didnt change the operations at all.

What truly baffles me is that  the drivers door works perfectly. I know I read somewhere on here about changing the resistor (to be honest that is a bit beyond my capabilities) Is that my only option? Or should I return the unit or what?

The window module is an AU-93 got it from autotoys. Thanks in advance to all those who reply

The modules are supposed to work independant of the windows wether or not one is fully open and the other is half open. It registers a resistance spike in the wire and when detected, the power is cut off from the source. I think you may have a defective unit where the resistance sensor is set too low or damaged. Send it back to Autotoys and ask the tech support or warranty department about what you should do.

I had this same problem with my window roll up module where all of the windows rolled up flawlessly except the front passenger window. It wasn't as bad as yours appears to be, but sometimes it took three tries to do it all the way up. One thing I tried was running a seperate fround wire for it since I had spliced into another ground wire at first. This improved reliability somewhat, but luck and nice weather seemed to be the best solutions for it. I had it working great for a long time and then I got my drivers window smashed and then that one stopped working well. They are rather annoying since there is little to troubleshoot and there are little alternatives that will imporove them. Maybe i have a cheap model.
