I am new to the Industry. I love electronics and especially in cars. Not long ago, I graduated from a school here in NJ. I have my MECP certification and little experience in head unit installs and alarm installs which are the most common installs. I am crazy to get a job but the problem is that I really dont have any experience and most shops and best buys require experience. Another problem is that I am still doing high school but fortunately, its my last year. My question is where can I start and get a job or experience if every shop requires experience.

Hey,

Its good u got ur ambition and goals so young.  Just find a mom and pop shop around your way and work for whatever they are willing to give.  Even if its for free (if finances are stable enough) a couple of hours after school.  The goal is to find someone who is willing to mentor you.  If they are a busy shop and you show your dedication and drive you should get enough money to get by.  While you work just learn learn learn.  Hands on experience can't be taught.

The one thing to remember while working is NEVER BE AFRAID TO ASK SOMETHING BEFORE YOU DO IT IF YOUR NOT SURE.  A shop doesn't want to lose money!  That is any successful shops first goal with a new hire.  I wish you luck.

I'm in the same boat. Graduated high school in May and just graduated from Acoustic Edge in Houston. Have applied online at several Best Buys. I'll be hitting up the mom and pop shops next. Hopefully someone will give me a chance.
