I just installed a car remote starter for a 98 Ford Windstar however I'm having a few problems.  The door ajar light on the dash stays on making it appear as though the doors are open therefore the power locks won't go on and the interior light stays on.  When I drive over 25 km /hr.,  the beeper goes off and so does the interior light but the door locks and light on the dash remain on and the doors still won't lock. When I slow down again, beeper goes off and interior lights go on again.  When the key is out of the ignition the interior light stays on for over an hour.  Have you heard of this happening before, any suggestions on how to rectify these problems?

Thank you

Larry

Sounds like you might of needed to diode isolate the door triggers on this vehicle. Most vehicles that have door a jar lights on the dash need to be diode isolated.  Brian

The door locks on this vehicle are negative and most remote starters send a negative signal from them.
Check the wire colours again:
Lock--Pink / YELLOW-------Drivers kick panel
Unlock--Pink/green-----Drivers kick panel

Also did you get the second accessory which is BLACK/ green?

Windstars are very current sensitve and for example if you are on a wrong wire they will turn on the parking lights
approx 30 minutes later to tell you there is a current draw the computer does not like.
