ok i have some lights off a CAT and the lights are 24V, i love em, there bright as crap and all, now ive seen 12V to 110AC and 24V to 12V but ive never seen a 12V to 24V, so i was wondering if they even make one, or even tho i highly dought it my friend wants to know if you could just take the 24V to 12V and just reverse the power of it, send in 12V to the output and so forth, i told him no but im also not a professional, if anyone knows, please help me

They do make them. Here is a link: Samlex. The amperage says 5 amps but the calculations say it can go to 13.5 amps.
Here is another one from the UK but it's a lot cheaper. (about $40 US plus $10 s/h) It only goes to 2.5 amps.

Haven't used these products specifically, but heard the Samlex equipment is good. Don't know anything about the UK stuff.
Good Luck!

hi,
do the lights have a sealed beam bulb, or do they have a replaceable bulb (halogen?). i'd look to see if an alternative twelve volt bulb is available. look for comparable wattages and light outputs. it would be much less expensive than a dc/dc converter (or two?) and of course be easier to wire.
just my two cents

there halogen i have 12V ones but these are about 10Xs more powerful and birghter, just what i want, so when i get them working, pray for anyone who has their brights on and doesnt turn them off when im coming, just a flick of a switch, and i am god! or atleast thats what they will think seeing nothing but white light
