I have a pair of Mb Quart RSB 218 that come with a rather large crossover. I was trying to decide weather I should try to fit these

large crossovers in the doors under the trim panel or in the rear where they could be adjusted and seen. If I mount the crossovers in the rear will the distance from the speakers hurt my sound Quality.  Thanks for any repliesposted_image

the distance will not really affect SQ unless you are severely underpowering them...but then it shouldnt affect actual SQ as much as output...are you useing a fairly powerful amp? will there be any chance of noise inductance over the course in which you plan to run the wires if you bring them from the hatch?

I run 12 ga wire to my components (Focal PolyKevlar 136s) and am running about 300W per side, and it doesnt really affect me if I mount my crossovers in the doors or in the hatch...

The Mb Quarts will be powered by Xtant X604. I have the option of 75x4 or 150x4 2ohm. Any suggestion on getting speaker wires through the door into the car. Thank You

use the gromit, and punch hole in each side but don't try to run them through the actual rubber boot, just use electrical tape and wrap them up to look factory and wire tie it to the outside of the original factory boot
