If the subs are DVC wir them up like this for a 2 ohm load on the amp:

If the subs are SVC run them like this: ( NOTE : this will be a 1 ohm load on the amp....make sure that it can handle this prior to wiring this up )

I don't know about those amps, but the Lighting Audio Storm 1000.1D is stable at 1ohms. Here's a link to that amp:

JBL traditionally has a poor name in regard to building really solid amps, but the new bp series seems to shrug off that old reputation and seem to be solid performers, and a great value for the low price you pay for the amount of power you get...

for a lower budget the JBL bp1200.1 amps are probably the best your money will buy as far as dollars for watts value, unless you buy used...unless you want to invest more into elitist names (no offense Jeff, I had a 1001DX too, heh) the JBL is a sensible amp...cheap and big power, and it does the power that it claims, unlike if you were to buy a pyramid or legacy product...

it seems the guy that i bought it from wont let me return the amp but he will let  me exchange it for either a kicker 1200.1 or mtx 8100d which should i choose i have heard that the mtx is stable at 1 ohm

thanx
