Help.
Maybe I posted in the wrong forum last time. I have a 1987 Chev. standard cab pickup. I've installed 6x9 speakers behind the seat. I have two 61/2 round speakers and two 2" tweeters that I need to put somewhere towards the front. When looking down inside the door, it looks like the power window motor may be too close to put the 61/2 on the right lower corner. The kick panels feel like there`is metal behind them, but I'm not sure. Can anyone familiar with Chev. pickups give me some ideas?
Thanks

If you are to put the speakers in the door you may need to install some speaker spacers to bring the back of the speakers away from the window or you can make some out of MDF. The only problem witht he PU's from that year is the foot brake is right by the kick panel and a speaker would get pretty bashed after a while. I wouls suggest placing the speakers in the door and mount the tweeters beside them within a couple of inches to get better imaging on your front stage.
