thinking about picking up this scan tool from harbor freight. any opinions on it? for those that don't know, i work at best buy as a mobile electronics installer and have been eyeballing one of these for a while to add to my toolbox. not wanting to do much other than see why check engine light is on and to reset it.

If that's all you're looking for, you can get it done free at AutoZone. Chances are you'll need to go there anyway.

That one will work fine. If that's all you want one for.

The only thing that scares me about that one is the harbor frieght part. All it will do is give you a number and allow you to delete the codes. Not much else.

It works ok, but won't tell ya everything. also doesn't clear all codes. One of those you get what you pay for things.
