Which is positive and negative on Orion DVC

Hi,

 I installed my new amp today with my Orion DVC sub. The amp powers on and works great but I have a major concern with the wiring of my DVC sub.

My problem is that I want to wire it in parallel....but nowhere on speaker or manual does it show how to tell with connector is positive or negative.

The connectors to each coil are exactly the same size, color and there is no + or - stamp on the subs metal basket/frame.

I checked Orion's website for diagrams of these speakers but that part of the site is down. I had the sub running but once I turned it up....the speaker would through the amp into protection. It also smells like something is not right( we all know that smell of a speaker not wired correctly...haha)

It has to be the wiring. Any ideas on how to tell?

I have the Orion Xtreme 15D.

I am looking at the sub right now, there is absolutely no markings.

According to that picture you show, is that the usual setup? Or is it drawn that way to make it easier for people to understand how to wire it. I am refering to how the picture shows the positive and negative terminals of each coil.

I found a picture of the back of the XTR 15 D that has the terminal painted red: Check this out and match it toy ours. Hope this helps you out !!

Thanks a million. But unfortunaly, I ran to check again on the wiring...I went and tried to move some of wires around based on the diagram you originally gave...I went to power it up and I found that the speaker is blown. I can hear the coils moving inside when I turn the system on but the speaker itself does not move. UGH!

Let me ask you one more question.....

I have a Bazooka EL1500 its a mono amp. At 2 ohms, it runs at 500w. Here's a link to it  https://www.bazooka.com/productAutoAmplifiersEL.asp?id=140

The Orion Xtreme 15d is rated at 250w RMS and 500w max. Was Bazooka amp a good fit for the sub...or was it pushing the sub too hard.

Since the Orion sub is dead and I still have a brand new amp, what sub specs should I look for? I am looking for either a 12 or 15"....but mainly I need advice on what power wattage(max and RMS) I should look for when planning on using my amp?
