Just get the MECP study guide, take the test, and start installing stuff.. It's pretty much a either you have it or you don't type of thing. The MECP will get ya rounded on basic electronics and theory, and basic technics... But the best is hands on... preferably under someone who knows their stuff...

also, if you go to cyberscholar.com you might be able to take several electronic trainings.  For some people, it is elementary but there are a few folks out there that don't know the difference between an active crossover and a passive one.  It helped me move along and get the info i needed when i was starting off.

try t orent the dvd online it's a helpul method for person like beginners like me
