Not sure if this is the right place to post this, please move if incorrect.

I have a 2000 neon with no catlytic converter.  As a result my check engine light is on.  I want to put a device inline with the o2 sensor so that it tricks my car's computer into thinking there is a converter, and that its working and hopefully will kill the check engine light.  I have seen these gizmos on sale for like $40 but I know that there is nothing more than a few  $.10 electrical components involved.  Anyone done this or know how to do it?

For anyone interested I found some plans on the net. You can get them here https://mkiv.com/techarticles/oxygen_sensor_simulator/

I'm going to get the parts tonight and build it over the weekend. I'll let you all know how it turns out.
