I am interested in building my own electronic car audio stuff i.e. amps, filters, speakers, etc. Ive found the book on here the audiophiles 80 project book but dont know if this is what im looking for or what i should get. It seems all the things ive found for building your own amp says something under 50 watts. I wanted to build something like on the shelves today say around 200-500 watts. Is this feasable? Does anyone have any suggestions on books and such? Has anyone built there own car audio stuff? Am i just waisting my time or is it something that can be done?

Thx in advance, Marcus

It is a very big challenge for a hobby to build something similar to what is on the shelf. It is also more expensive because you aren't buying the parts in bulk.  You can request samples but only so many units. I am almost through getting my electrical engineering degree and we don't do anything of that size yet.
