I wired in some infinity 6x9s into my 95 4runner. There was no sound from the stocks so I thought they were blown. The new speakers do not work either. Where is my problem? Is it b/c I took out the stock amp? The rear tweeters in the top of the tail gate still work. Could I wire into those? Is there a reference somewhere that seperates the sound to the two sets of speakers, being the 4" rear and the tweeters? could the wiring issue be there at this elusive reference?

Yes it's from removing the stock amp. Find the outputs from that amp you removed and connect them to the rear outputs from your deck.
