To all fellow business owners on this forum.  What POS software if any do you use or recommend.  After searching the forums, TSS from Mobile Toys is the only thing I could come up with.  Anyone out there use this software?  If so, how much is it?  I could always just use Quickbooks but I wanted soemthing specifically designed for our industry.  Thanks

It all comes down to the amount of money you want to spend. I know the QB2006 version has a scanning option now that you can use it as a scanner for inventory as well as sales. This will give you alot more flexibility in your business compared to using the QB Premiere alone. I use the QB 2003 and am waiting for the QB 2006 for Canadian edition to come available.

You don't need anything specifically designed for our industry.  Any decent retail package will do.   You just need to adapt to it, make different labour rates equal to a product.  Small shops, a receipt book and pen works well,  computer makes "paper work" easier.  What ever system you use, you must plan ahead and implement.  Be creative and all will be well.
