Ok, I know it's my first post...... so feel free to hit me with the "use the search", or "dumb noob" stuff ;)
First off, I will admit I'm a noob when it comes to electronics installs, and wiring scres me a bit. However, I'm a do-it yourself kind of guy and I don't mind taking on a project if I have all the info in front of me.
Today I embarked on the install of an electronic boost controller in my car, I sucessfully spliced, soldered, and shrinkwrapped all my connections ino the ecu. I ran all my wires into the engine bay, attached the pressure sensor, and the solenoid to the firewall..... only to find that the 3 wires that connect the main harness to the pressure sensor are differently colored than the wires coming from the sensor itself.
The problem is this.... it's a used component, and the previous owner didn't see fit to send me an un-cut harness, but rather sent me a box of stuff that I have had to sort through. apparently I CAN use the aftermarket sensor that was provided with my unit. But I have no idea what exactly the 3 wires coming from the main harness signify specifically. I know that they are.... signal... ground..... and power, but that is all I am in no way sure what color wire corresponds to each of these things.
The sensor itself is easy. it also has signal, ground, and power. It has a red wire, a white wire, and a yellow wire. Red is power, white is ground, and yellow is signal.
The main harness has a Yellow, a brownish purple, and a blue wire, and I need to connect the 2 sets of 3 wires together correctly in order to get this thing up and running
The company that manufactures the boost controller is Apexi
any ideas as to the function of the 3 mystery wires?????
let me know if you need any more info!
Thanks much..... Ken

Here you go. The technical manual here will give you all the details on the harnesses.

thank you very much for the help, but I already have that
actually I was able to get apexi to tell me finally..... on their harness, brown is ground, yellow is power, and blue is signal....
