on my jetta i cant lock all doors unless my car knows all doors are closed, and i cant set my alarm which automatically sets when i lock the doors...when i close my driver side door the car doesnt recognize it as closed and the lights on the door panel stay on as well as my dome lights, is there a sensor or way to try to fix this without going through a repair shop or dealer, at first when i would slam the door it would fix the problem but now that doesnt work, help!!

You would go into the door. The hinge in the door is having a constant ground which it telling that the car is open even when the door is closed..you would have to go into the door..i have seen this happen in the reverse of what your saying on jettas...The only thing I would do if I was you would check the hinge at door. Pull the door panel out and see if something is loose or cut...you may have to take it to a shop;...good luck
