Subject: adding accessories what fuse?

Im planning on adding some accessories to my truck which includes: power mirrors, power windows & locks, lighted vanity mirrors in the sunvisors. I would like to run all of these accessories together and install a fuse. So what size fuse would you recommend? Or do I need to do some calculations of my own to figure it out? Also, where would be a good place to tap into a 12v source? I already installed an alarm and tapped into the ignition for that. Id like to stay away from that and running anything directly to the battery.

Thanks.

I really wasnt thinking about what I said. lol

#1....I wont need a 12v constant source. The only one that will need it is the lighted mirrors and locks. #2.....a fuse protects the wire.....so what I meant was what gauge wire should I use?

amperage and distance..... I believe thats all a guy would need to know to make a

safe determination. There are all kinds of wire charts that suggest minimums.

12 V battery is more than enough for everything you want in your truck.

Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.

You could probably get away with a 6 or 8ga wire.
