Does any one have some suggestions on the following scenario.  I am building a game simulator seat and thinking of using car audio components within the seat. My idea is to supply power to the amp from the 230VAC/12vdc mains adapter . I would have two sub woofers mounted on either side of the seat and the mid range speakers - one front and one in back. The car seat / box is made from a metal frame lined with fibreglass. I would mount the amp  underneath the seat either direct to the metal frame or to a supporting board. I am considering of supplying audio direct to the amp from the computer audio out. If you have any ideas and suggestions I would be interested to hear.

Wny not just go with a powered 220vac sub?

If you decide to go with a 12vdc system you will need a step down transformer or just a 220vac --> 14.4vdc power supply.

I built a game simulator years ago and I just used a high end 120vac powerd computer speaker system.  It doesn't provide the bass that 2 subs will provide, but it sounds pretty good for what it is.
