Wondering if anyone knows why the door window and lock switches stay illuminated when the vehicle is off and the key is removed? Also, why is the seat wiring harness different between the driver and passenger seats when the seats are the same. Passenger plugs into the harness but the driver has a differnet connection between the seat and the harness. Thanks ------------- Steve C

No idea for question one. Possible airbag sensor in the passenger seat for question 2. What are you trying to do? -------------

Replacing the front seats in the truck, bought power heated seats but the truck did not come with heated seats i found out yesterday, thus the wiring connection difference. Still having the window switch illumination problem, drawing on battery. ------------- Steve C

Im not sure if this will help but it may point u in the right direction. I had a 89 Taurus SHO that would light up the key pad when the door handle was pulled, so maybe your truck works the same and has a faulty switch or contact on the handle?

Door switches stay lite continously.

The radio also stays on after the truck is shut off, have to manually shut down radio, could this be a possible ignition problem not cutting power to accesories?

possible problem in the ignition switch, bad contacts that may stay connected when key is removed.

The wire I'm test'n isn't doin' what it's supposed to be doin'... I am so glad I printed that tech sheet, with the wrong info.
Do it right the first time... or I might have to fix it for ya

your drivers door pin is not sending a signal to shut down the RAP, or your RAP relay is stuck on, sounds like a defect in the truck.

The truck had and alarm and remote starter that was removed when stolen, have removed a lot of associated wiring under dash, have not looked at the door switch, would this still be causing constant power to be fed to the window switches and radio when vehicle is off, key removed and all doors are shut. Don't want to kill more batterires and disconnecting the batteries are a pain. ------------- Steve C

The dealer thinks it is the dash cluster, he found a burn mark on the board and thinks it is not sending signal to shut off the radio and window/door switches. Anyone heard of this? ------------- Steve C
