I just wanted to say thanks to all the people here who provide great advice to those who are installing remote starters themselves. Through the search function I found all the info I needed to install the Compustar 2W900FM in my wife's '02 Hyundai Santa Fe. As I don't install remote starters for a living some of the instructions in the manual were a little vague to me.
I have been a mechanic most of my adult life, specializing in restoration work. I've seen the atrocities some people who claim to be "professional" installers of after market security and remote systems have caused in cars and I must say it's very nice to find this community of true professionals who obviously take pride in their work and time to instruct those who have less experience but want to do it right.
It would be nice to have a section where the pro's here could list where they work or do work. I'm very weary of having people work on anything electrical related in my cars but if I didn't have the time to do it myself I would have no problem having the pro's here perform an install on my own car.
Again thanks everyone for all the advice you provide here!

Thanks for the note of gratitude ;) I'm glad to hear you found what you needed.

Obviously many of our members wish to remain anonymous, but quite a few have added their information here:

I didn't realize that list existed. That's a great resource for those who can't or choose not to perform their own installations.
There's a good bit more to this site than just this forum. Have a peek at the menus on the top, left, or bottom of any page of this site ;)
