I have seen some mention the need for a vaccum canister on small engineed cars, I have a metro 3 cylinder.

They say it is included as a feature. So does the servo assembly have it in it?

The vacuum canister is a separate add on if the servo is a vacuum controlled unit. I would install unit and then see if the vacuum is strong enough without canister, if it is then you won't need to add. If it doesn't work properly then you can always add it inline. That is why there was a part # CCS-202

The install manual mentions something about 45 mm travel. Is that how much it will pull on the throttle?
On my 96 metro, the pull at the throttle body is real close to 40 mm. So wondering why some have had travel problems and install on the pedal linkage.
You want the throttle to be snug with very little play. I think the 45mm is the maximum travel of throttle, I would mount in engine compartment to engine throttle assembly.
