Why does the box say not recommended for Honda vehicles anyway?

Anyway guys, this is my first time installing a cruise control system but I'm confident in my electrical and mechanical skills to take this on. I've got it all wired up and connected like it should to the best of my knowledge. I used the Rostra site to lookup the wiring and VSS info (I'd post the link but the URL doesn't point to the correct page, you know what I mean).

The problem I'm having is that the servo is jerking the throttle while driving on level ground, traveling up hills, in the valley between two hills...pretty much all the time and regardless of speed. It would otherwise feel like the car has a bad misfire but the car's in great shape and runs perfectly fine with the cruise off. Despite the jerking it holds speed well, accelerates/decelerates, cancels when the clutch is depressed (so I've got the tach wire right), cancels when the brake is pressed...from what I can tell I've got it right but something is wrong somewhere.

I am using both the VSS and tach signals (did not use the magnet kit). I tried adjusting the sensitivity between the low, medium, and high settings (leaving it on medium), switched between using just the tach signal then to tach AND VSS...no change.

Any suggestions? I have a feeling the servo unit is just defective but figured that my experience isn't enough to jump to conclusions. Thank you.

I still haven't found an answer...could it be a bad servo?
