I am going to install an Audiovox CCS-100 cruise control on my 2003 Jeep Liberty.  Does anyone know the location and color of the tach wire?  Also, it seems that the pulse rate of the Jeep is 38000 so I will have to use the magnet pickup (because of the pulse rate of the VSS rate is too hight for this unit).  Does the magnetic pickup work well?  Audiovox also told me I would need a "T" throttle adapter kit model 2504184, what is that and does anyone know what it looks like (I'd like to make it myself if it's possible).

While I am at it I'm also going to install the same model of cruise control on my son's 2002 Nissan Frontier, I think it might be an easier installion (VSS @2000 and I've been told the color and location of the tach wire for it).  Anything I should know in advance on this one in advance too.

I've now installed both cruise controls, in the 2003 Jeep and the 2002 Nissan.  They both work great.  I used the magnetic pickup for both.  This was a very inexpensive way to add cruise controls to both vehicles, about $85 each.  Thanks to Audiovox for some technical advice too!

Msu1878 -

Don't install an aftermarket cruise on the Liberty!!! Mopar makes a very nice factory kit that bolts right in! Check with your local Jeep dealer for info.
