First time poster, I'll try to be brief.

I have a 2002 Chevrolet Express 2500 Cargo van that I am converting to a leisure vehicle.

4.3 L V-6 with 1 ton rated auto tranny, 1 ton axles.

What I hope to accomplish is to install the OEM cruise control system. The wrecking yards are full of cash for clunker vehicles now and these parts are very inexpensive to acquire.

Aside from the visible parts such as the turn signal switch and the cruise control module I do not know what additional components I need to complete the system.

All help and installation tips are gratefully appreciated. I am retired so I have near unlimited time to devote before commencing this project.

If the van that you have has a plug at the accelerator pedal instead of a cable, then all you need is the OEM control arm. Then you will need to check your steering column for the OEM wires to your cruise. It will be a 4 pin connector attached to the side of the steering column. If you have a cable to control the pedal, then you will need the entire system from the vehicle as well as the PCM (possibly).

Of course, I have the cable connected at the top. No easy way for me!

May I impose on your for the components that I will need to acquire? Please assume I know nothing, because really, I don't! I hope to learn the components, their function and location before starting the installation process.

A real bonus would be if you had the GM part numbers as well, but I am grateful for any information sent this way.

This is a fabulous venue! Props to those who share.
