my 2000 honda accord five speed has no cruise control functions.
The master switch on the dash wont even light up when pressed.
the fuse is ok. the car was in a front end accident.there was an aftermarket alarm system installed and removed before i got the car.i'm saying this cause the stock volume down button on the steering wheel honks the horn when pressed.so i think the installer may have crossed some wires.

Either something was wired wrong, or you have a short-to-power (which won't blow a fuse but can cause some wacky stuff to happen ie your horn going off w/volume button).

Start by checking for voltage at the switch to eliminate half of the circuit as a potential culprit. (If there's voltage the circuit problem lies somewhere after the switch. If theres no voltage it's the half of the circuit before it.)

Also are your brake lights working? If they are not suspect the brake switch as the problem.
