I am trying to install cruise control on a 2007 2500hd Silverado. I presently do not have cruise control and I think the switch goes on the steering wheel. Is the wiring already there?

There are many factors to consider. Is the new design truck or classic. There are two very different 2007 trucks. Next what motor and gas or diesel? Do you have a mechanical throttle cable on the gas pedal or a position sensor?

The truck is the new style lt. I have the duramax engine with the Allison transmission. The throttle uses a positioner and is electronic.

You have two choices. You can get an aftermarket kit from Rostra or get a factory one installed at a GM dealer. You can't add the factory one yourself as it must be enabled with software. The software is included when you get the GM accessory parts from a GM dealer.
