Hi! I've installed an audiovox cruise control on my  93' Nissan Micra. I want just give some details of this car because i guess nobody of you have seen one (i'm writing from Italy). 1.0 liters, 4 cylinders, electronic injection, Front WD.

The car doees not have any VSS sensor, so I installed the magnets. I've conncted the blu wire for RPM signal both (alternatively) to the two wires that come out from the ignition coil. (the problems remains)

The problem is that the cruise works fine since the engine rises up to 3000 RPM, at that piont, it disconnects automatically.

I do not think that there is any problem with the magnets since if i stay under 3000 RPM everything works good

Can someone help me?

It sounds like when the car hits 3000rpm the overrev protection kicks in. What happens when you are only hooked up to the magnets and not to the ignition coil at all?

Thank you for your answer anonymous.

If i do not connect the blu wire to the ignition coil the cruise do not work at all.

Is there any possibility of by-passiing this overrev protection?

I cannot go over 90 Km/H if it stops at 3000 rpm

The blue and gray wire should hook up to the aux. speed signal. There is no need to hook up to the Tach. How many pulses do you have the cruise set at?  I believe it should be 8000 pulses. (as in most Nissans)

The problem should be solved!

I disconnected the blu vire from the coil and turned the SW 3 on the position to receive the signal from the magnets.

Now it is set on 4000 pulses and it works great above 45 mph i tested it up to

93 mph (speed limit). it shoul be working even at 35 mph but i think that i have to change to 2000 pulses.

Before it worked like if some one was pushing and relasing the accelerator, now it goes very well.
