96 Windstar, lost cruise control & horn function.  I believe I found the problem to be in the cruise/speed control servo module.  It looks like I lost the "speed control sw gnd" since this seems to be the ground needed for cruise control and horn activation from the steering wheel. (Horn works using the keyless entry.)  I checked the fuses, relays, switches, & resistance readings all are good.  From my diagram this check also verifies the clockspring assembly.  Ford wants $400.00 for the module, I can get a salvaged one for $100.00.  As a novice mechanic trying to save money, do you think I diagnosed the problem correctly?  Anything else I could do or look at before spending the money?  Can a novice replace this module without causing more problems?  Thanks for the forum & any response.

Did you get this fixed?  My money is on the clock spring.  Same problem for me on a 95 Bronco.  A new one from the dealer was about $120.

Sounds like a clock spring problem like said above.
