I own a 1999 Plymouth Neon manual transmission.  I'd like to add a cruise control.  Do I purchase and after market cruise or do I better buy a factory one? The factory control is mounted in the steering, controlling it with you thumbs, wich I really appreciate.  Looks great.  In both cases,  will I be able to install it myself?  I read that it takes no more than 1 hour to install a cruise control, so if I give me a whole day,  will I get it working easily?  I am afraid that when I'll read: use the VSS or something wire, I wouldn't be able to locate it and finish by sending it to the garage to make them do it.  How detailed are the instructions in general?

Thank you.

what kind of aftermarket cruise would you get? ive only delt with Rastra,(very good) i haved one on my tacoma, but back to your question, if you get an aftermarket get a elewctric one, not vacuum, also get a trottle adapter,,, you should be fine, it is only a five wire hook up
