I've got a Sparco racing wheel in my civic which eliminated the cruise features. I've been doing some trips w/ decent miles and would like to get cruise control back w/o having to hack up my race wheel. Is there anyway I can just tap into the wires somewhere and have a detachable "pod" on the steering wheel....so I can remove it when it's not needed??
Also are these the correct color codes.. (Car's a '91 Civic LX sedan)
Light GREEN/ black = Accelerate/RESUME
Light GREEN/ red = Decelerate/SET
Blue/Red = ground?

If you can get the schematics for your factory cruise control, you should be able to adapt an aftermarket cruise lever in it's place. You will need to determine what and how the power, set and resume circuits switch to find a compatible lever or dash mount switch. A Rostra Cruise Control dealer should be able to assist you.
