Im trying to figure out if it is possible to use the cruise control to rev the engine up.  What I want to beable to do is use the accessory button on my alarm to active a simple circuit of some kind that would rev the engine up for a second or two (3000 rpm) after using the auto start. This my sound really dumb to some people but my truck has some loud pipes on it and I like showing them off.   Im doing this on a 96 chevy K1500 pickup. It has the 5.0 vortec engine. I think if I had a diagram of the cruise control module I could figure it out, but pretty much any help would be good.

Thanks

Kevin

your not going to be able todo it with a standard cruise control, maybe a small actuator hooked to a timer modual, im sure it can be done, but i dought you can use a cruise control

It can be done but U will have to configure a relay with a unit that would pulse the Servo wire that accuates the throttle.  I have done that on Rostra and AR Cruise controls, but not on Factory Cruise control units.......With a little messing around, & if U know how a cruise servo works It can be done

mo,

thats what I figured, just need a wiring diagram for the stock cruise system so I know which wire needs to be powered up. I talked to the guy at the dealership and he thinks he can get it for me. Thanks.
