I have a 1998 chevrolet K2500 pickup with a vortec 350 and factory cruise control.  Can anyone tell me what wire I would use to light a led to indicate when the cruise control is activated?  I have a generic wirin diagram for the truck that I have used to locate a Bl/blk wire that is labeled a cruise status wire that feeds the VCM.  I tapped into it but have found that it is powered when the truck is on but goes dead once the cruise button is pushed and stays that way until the cruise is cancelled.  Is there another wire I should be using?

Then it is a negative trigger type indicator. Feed 12V to one side of the LED, then the status wire, witha ppropriate current limiting resistor of choice, to the other side of LED. Cruise not on.... 12V to both sides of LED= LED off.   Cruise on.... 12V on one side, ground on the other= LED on.
