I have a 94 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited withe the 5.2 L, Auto, and it have developed a problem with the cruise control. I can set the speed and it will work, but after a few min. it will start to pluse in speed.  It will slow down from the set speed and drop a few MPH then it will speed back up to the set speed. It will keep slowing down and speed up and the diffrence between slowing down and speeding up will get farther apart. What should I look for? Any Ideas?

Thanks in advance

Checked the slack and its ok.

No the speedo does not jump but the tach shows the slowing down and speeding up

Checked all of the lines and thay look good

Today it started to do its thing right from the start, could it be the controler?

vacuum servo cruise?

Most likely one or more of the vacuum solenoids that allow vacuum through or bleed it off are sealing too well.
There is probably a small amount of oil on the plunger that keeps to sealed while the spring hasn'r enough pull to break that seal quickly.

so take it apart, wipe it off and reassemble.
