Its a factory cruise from a Civic Si.

It most likely won't work. I don't have any information on this but I think it would be quite difficult to do. I wish I was more familiar with honda cruises.

Go ahead and do it it's exactly the same on all the Civics from 96-2001 Very Easy too, did it on mine!! Make sure that you have ALL the parts including the steering wheel! ------------- Russ!

russ - could you email me, i have a few quick questions about the cc install on an '00 civic. i just pulled the cc servo, throttle cables, gas pedal assembly, and cc buttons from the steering wheel along with a some wiring and connectors from a '98 in the junkyard. my only questions were about the wiring. thanks a lot, marshall mamurra2@vt.edu ------------- DSM, S13

Make sure that the servo from the 98 is the same transmission type as the '00. Also, don't forget about the vaccum pump ( located under the throttle cable ) . When installing thecable make sure that you leave about 10mm so it will have enough to pull the vaccum and engage the cruise.

i suppose i really should have done my homework before running out to the yard. i pulled the vacuum canister, but there was no pump in the car so i didn't even think about it. would anyone happen to know where the cc computer is on a 6th gen civic? i thought it would've been up under the dash, but i couldn't find it. thanks again, marshall ------------- DSM, S13

Normally honda put is on the backside of the fuse box up high and a real pain is in the @$$ to take out. If it were a Honda Accord, then it is really easy it would be just above the fuse box and two 10 mm bolts take it out. On the Civic you will be able to see a module marked with a label ( GREEN or ORANGE ) and it will say on it MITSU CRUISE CONTROL ( I think ) on your model.
