69 Opel GT? Single carb, linkage not wire for throttle, no vaccum to speak of, and a really half fast (doesn't know if this matters or not) rpm guage. We had to put a flag on the crank shaft, and use a sensor to count revolutions, to put in a remote starter unit.

i'm just trying to jazz the car up a bit with things that wouldn't take away from the original appearance of the car... too much.

I know Rostra makes a full electronic unit.  If you have a point on the throttle to connect the cruise cable to, a 12 volt system, and the speed sensor on the shaft it could work with some trouble shooting.  Good Luck!
