I just installed a Rostra cruise control (PN# 250-1316) on my car. It works fine, but does anyone know the default RPM to disengage the servo?

I tested it when the cruise control is enabled, put the gear in neutral and the engine reved up to more than 5000rpm and the servo is still on. It seemed the only ways to disengage the servo is turn off the switch or press the brake pedal, I can't see the function of the Tach signal for the safety feature.

I did not hook up the NSS wire.

Each car is a little different, some disengage immediately, others do exactly what you are saying, and don't seem to disengage.  The other option is to put in a clutch switch, this will do what the brake does, and disengage as soon as the switch is released.  If it is a automatic, you can just ground the blue tach wire.

Are you sure you have the right wire for tach?

Do you have the cylinder setting right in the dip switches?

My sw settings from 1 to 12 is :off, on, off,on,off, off,on off, off,on,on,off.  I'm not clear about the meaning of sw 7 to 9.

I have a 4 cylinder/automatic transmission car. According to the manual troubleshooting guide, the diagnostic LED inside the module will flash when I reved the engine. The higher the rpm, the faster the LED blinks. it works just like the book says.

Any suggestion? Thanks a lot.
