Recently istalled one of their units in one of my Hot Rods. The units works, but it tends to surge.

I have tried to contact them with out any results, I either get busy signals or I will leave a message , which they have yet to return my calls. I was wondering if any one else has installed this unit and had similar problems.

Been installing & Selling ROSTRA Cruise Controls for over 15 years & NEVER had that problem    1- 800-732-4744...ask for YATES if you can't get answers.....
Have been installing Cruise Controls for over 25 years out of the few that are left, ROSTRA is the best
BTW........U may have to wait on HOLD........I have called & was the 11th caller on hold...took 28 minutes

Not sure what type MOTOR in your Hot Rod......
If it is surging, that will depend on a few things.
Be sure U have approx. 1/8 inch slack at throttle connection.
The actual throttle hook up & how it is mounted.

Thanks for the reply. Nice to know I have purchased one of the better units available.

This particular car is a 49 Olds. conv. with a new GM crate 350  motor and a 700R overdrive, with 3:56 gears.

Maybe I should repharse, instead of using the word "surging", I would be more correct in saying its too senitive, to both increasing the speed and decreasing it as needed. It will drop off quickly and then when needed it comes on quickly. Instead of being a nice smooth transfer of power.

Sorry I didn't get a chance to call the 800 number you gave me as it was to late in the day by the time I got on the puter. But I will do that in the morning.

Thanks again......
