I am trying to install an after market Audiovox CCS-100 Cruise Control. The instructions do not address a 2006 vehicle. I am looking for the VSS wire and the tach wire. The instructions say the the white wire on the coil for the tach wire. Well there is no white wire on the coil but there is one on some other device that is just next to the coil and that the VSS wire is green and white, but where? I am also finding it difficult to find a spot to drill a hole through the firewall without hitting anything under the dash. If anyone has had any experience with this one I can use the help.

Your truck is likely mostly prewired for cruise from the factory. You can find the 10 pin plug clipped near the driver's side firewall for the factory cruise. It has powers, ground VSS and brake circuits for you to wire into. You can find the lever switch wires in the back side of the large connector plug at the base of the steering column. If your truck has an automatic transmission, don't bother with the tach wire and set the dip switches for automatic trans.
