Just finished installing a Remote start into a 93 Chevy truck. Now the cruise control doesn't work. Everything looks to be hooked up and there are no blown fuses.

What could be the problem?

Check your connection at the cold side of the brake. Also check if the cruise will work if you disconnect the remote start from the cold side of the brake. If it works with it disconnected, add a relay with 30 going to the remote start brake lead, 87a and 86 to ground, 87 and 85 to the cold side of the brake with a diode across the coil (cathode side to 85 and the anode side to 86).

I'm a fool and it's fixed!

I had removed the brake switch so that I could solder the wire to the cold side of the brake and when I reinstalled the switch I didn't slide the base of the module into the notch in the steering column. As a result the whole switch was riding with the brake pedal. Although the brake lights worked fine the cruise control wasn't making solid contact.

Thanks for your help. I was heading in the wrong direction at first.
