Have a 2005 Econoline gasser in here for a cruise.... and lo and behold, they went DBW on this thing. Is there an OEM switch set for it, or is it change the steering wheel time?

Dude, can't you do the same as the Chevy's and just buy the OEM switch for $ 100 and plug & play ? I haven't installed the DBW for a Ford yet, but it should be like the Chevy's IMO.

Looks like the OEM switch happens to come with the rest of the steering wheel..... joy oh joy. We didn't end up doing it, customer will prolly be back as soon as we find a solution. Mind you, cost really isn't much of an object (it's one of the MTS service vans....). The kid booked it as a 2001 or something..... but as soon as I opened the door and saw a 2005 on the jamb, I just knew it had to be different..

I did an older Ford van 03 or 04 with a factory kit. It was a diesel engine. I had to replace the steering wheel, air bag coil and add a harness to under the hood. It only took about 40 mins. I can't remember the cost of the parts. Contact a Ford parts dept. to see if there is one available for your year van.

The kit will come with a new wheel and clockspring. Install takes about 15 - 20 minutes. The important part is that it will not work until the dealer enables the cruise through the WDS. If you don't have a good relationship with the dealer count this into the cost. The last page of the cruise has the instructions on what they need to do.
