posted_imageI have a ford explorer, the cruise on it works but it won't hold a constant speed. It  accelerates then slows then accelerates then slows, it won't hold a cosntant speed. This has been happening for some time. When it first started I just stopped using it. Can anyone help me out. Thanks

Check that you have no slack in the servo cable where it connects to the throttle. Also check that you do not have any vacuum leaks if your cruise does not have an electronic servo. If need be, add a vacuum reservoir for your cruise servo. If you still have problems, check the speed signal source for a consistent reading and repair/replace the signal generator as neccessary.

It could also be a bad servo.  If there is a leak at all in the system it will cause this.  Also check the brake switch for leaks.  I would lean towards it being a bad servo or leak of some kind.
