I put an SS Frigette electronic cruise on a Scion xB and it is tripping the check engine light with a speed sensor code. It is also shutting off after about 30 minutes of use and won't work again for a little while.  I connected the VSS at  the ECM, violet/white, black connector.  I think it is a bad servo any other suggestions?

Use a digital volt meter to verify all other wiring first, before condemming the unit. If you have a bad ground or poor power source, the cruise could cause these problems.

I'm sorry I lied, the VSS is not from the black connector because there is no violet/white in the black plug.  I connected to the second white connector from the top on the left side of the back of the fuse block, would you be so kind as to verify that this correct. I know I am getting signal from it because the cruise does work for awhile. I would just like to verify it is the right one.

Thanks
