I am going to be installing a cruise control unit, Audiovox CCS-100. The instructions say to connect the blue wire to the negative side of the ignition coil. On my 99 Mazda Protege Rostra's web site gives me the color of the Tach Signal Wire. Is this the same wire? Will it work?

Thanks,
Mitchell

Should not be a problem  you are only  trying to sense rpm.

So after installing everything it didnt work :(

I was sure that it had to do with the VSS & Tach wire not being correct. I went to a local installer and he looked in his installer only pages and connected the VSS & Tach wire to the right locations. Now the unit is still not working.

What do i do from here? Could it be insufficient Vacuum? Could i have blown the cruise control computer by hooking it up wrong? How can i test this. I really hate to return and give up. So far I have the $100 into the kit and paid the professional installer $60 for his hour of labor and expertise.

Thanks,
mitchell
