I have done a few of these. The cruise control is already built into the computer. What I have done (I have done 4 of these Fords so far) is to replace the factory steering wheel and clock spring (non-cruise) with a factory steering wheel and clock spring (with cruise). Its all plug and play with one minor problem. After its installed the dealer needs to reprogram the computer.

Do a little research at the dealership, if you order the right part, it will come as a complete kit with directions and decent (not great) pictures.

It was easy, the first install only took me a hour.

Yes very easy install you might even get away without replacing the clock spring, just swap the wheel and have the dealer turn it on. I don't have the kit number offhand but I believe SCS makes it for Ford and I know it carries a ford part #
