I bought a 1997 Dodge Ram pickup, 1500, 2wd, 5.2L V8, auto, with factory cruise control, to tow my boat with. The truck runs great but the cruise doesn't work. I looked under the hood and everything is hooked up. I can't find a fuse in either box. The light doesn't come on. The air bag light was on too. I was told on a Dodge forum that this would be the fault of the "clockspring" and I have replaced that device. The air bag light went off but the cruise doesn't work still. The light on the dash does not come on and the cruise is not trying to engage. Can anyone tell me how to troubleshoot this further. I have probed for 12v and removed and checked continuity on every fuse both in the under dash box and under the hood and there are no blown fuses. I can not find a fuse that says it is for the cruise. The #10 position under the dash has a fuse, and is designated as N/A on the chart, so that might be the fuse for the CC.

The switch is bad. I replaced it and the cruise works.
