do's anyone have any advise on how to etch plexiglass i have some pattern i want to put on a piece of plexiglass and i have no idea on how to stat

Very easy! Don't etch at all. Go to your local sign shop like I did to make the Mini Cooper logo appear on an install that I did. Tell the company to make a vinyl sticker to adhere on the bottom of the plexi glass. Tell them to use the FROSTED look. When you stick it on it looks etched and the company will have your scanned image in their computer for future use. Different colors, sizes etc. The first scan, cleanup and print should be around $40-$60. My Mini Cooper logo will now only cost me about $7-$15 for reprints of different sizes.

your other option is to go to the vinyl sticker place and get a reverse or negetive sticker made of the logo you want to have in the plexi. then place it on the plexi. make sure it is stuck it on really good. then shoot it with a sand blaster. this will give you a frosted looking logo that can be lighted by neon or L.E.D.s or how ever else you can think......if you want some pics let me know i have some of this process i can email them to you.......just send me your email.......installguy509

find your local engraver-should be in the phonebook. the one i went to cut two pieces to size, drillied all the holes, made the cut out for the amp to sit in(its an amp rack), and etched text onto it for about 50 dollars ------------- Find a job you love and you'll never work another day in your life.

To etch plexiglass, I have heard some people sandblast the plexi and also, I have seen designs that are all the way through the plexiglass and this was done with a computer router and diamond tipped blade.
